Understanding the vision
The project began with a blank canvas, as the company was a new venture with no previous website to serve as a reference. The initial stage involved understanding the brand's vision, mission, and target audience. Through collaborative discussions with the client, I gained valuable insights into their objectives and the personality they wanted to portray.
Mapping the journey
Creating an effective sitemap was the crucial foundation of the website's architecture. I carefully strategised the layout, ensuring seamless navigation for visitors to explore the site effortlessly. Every step was considered, from the homepage to the contact page, as each played a vital role in conveying the brand's essence and inviting interaction. This was a small site which served purpose as a portfolio for the company and a brief overview of what they do.
Embracing playfulness in design
With a new playful and dynamic logo as the starting point, I set out to infuse the entire design with a similar vibe. The logo's vibrant shapes provided an excellent foundation for the design elements, allowing me to create a cohesive visual language that resonated with the brand. Bringing these assets throughout the site I was able to play on these and create fun animation and creative ways to present the copy on the site. I integrated the brands colour palette into the design to embrace the brand's playful spirit. Birds eye view videography and engaging graphics also brought each page to life.
Conclusion
Designing and creating the website for this new and vibrant company was an incredible experience. From shaping the sitemap to bringing the logo to life through the design. The final result was a dynamic and user-friendly platform that authentically captured the brand's essence. The website successfully reflected the company's spirit, drawing visitors into a world of excitement and exploration. Through navigation, engaging visuals, and a harmonious colour palette, the design conveyed the brand's personality with every click.
