The goal was to create a seamless digital extension of their rebrand and making sure that the site felt cohesive with the complex’s new identity while maintaining a clean, user-friendly structure.
One of the major challenges was addressing user confusion around opening hours. The Junction operates with varying hours during the day and night but many visitors were unaware of the flexibility, which led to frustration. To solve this, I developed the concept of "By Day, By Night" as a design. This not only allowed me to visually differentiate between daytime and nighttime operations but also helped communicate the idea that The Junction was a destination open around the clock.
To further improve clarity for users I incorporated a dynamic green light system into the site. This feature was designed to show in real-time which stores were currently open. This helps give users a clear indication of availability. By introducing this element I was able to remove any confusion around opening hours and ensure that users had a clear understanding of when they could visit.
